DR. UNGKU SYAKIRA SYAZA UNGKU AHMAD

Founder & Vet Director of MEDICAT NIAGA SDN. BHD.

Meet Dr. Syakira, a Veterinary Surgeon and the Founder of MediCat. She has always loved cats her whole life, and the desire to help them has led into this career path; becoming a veterinarian. Later in her study, she graduated in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2014.

She had more than 10 years of experiences and knowledge in feline medicine and her reputation has spread amongst cats’ owners community in Johor Bahru. She started to build her own empire known as MediCat Veterinar, amidst of Covid19 outbreak in year 2020. In less than 2 years, she spreads her wings to launch another MediCat outlet. Dr. Syakira’s biggest aim in feline-related field is to control the overpopulation of stray cats and strongly supports neutering campaign as in effort to improve their quality of life.

She believes in order to build strong and growing successfully in the future, MediCat must be well-equipped with high trained vet specialists with advanced facilities to improve our quality of services. With great determination and visions, MediCat will be one of the leading veterinary clinics in Johor.

MOHD HAKEEM B. MOHD HAJAR

Co-Founder & CEO of MEDICAT NIAGA SDN. BHD.

Born and raised in Johor, Hakeem reads Civil Engineering from University of Technology Malaysia, Skudai (2008-2012). Throughout his study days, he acted as Chairman of Entrepreneurship Club and started to demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Early on his career, he worked as Executive Project Engineer at TPM Technopark Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary company of Johor Corporation Group (JCorp), where he gained extensive project management and organizational skills. He attended Project Management Professional Course, several Directorship Courses and certified as Train The Trainer.

Hakeem has been actively seeking for business development opportunities until he founded an e-Sport Centre, known as Fingers Sport Arena in 2016 and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer. In 2020, he co-founded MediCat and is given the trust and responsibility to lead MediCat towards better success.
