Consultation

Consultation with our professional vets at MediCat is essential in order to provide best healthcare for your cats! Every consultation attended may requires about 15 to 30 minutes per session. We offer medical advise from general animal health treatment and welfare up to surgical and emergency medical procedures.

Vaccination

In order to improve herd immunity, vaccination in cat is highly proven to eradicate or minimize viruses infection causing serious illness and death, especially Parvovirus.

Primary vaccination is crucial thus it can be done in early stage of life, at 2-month-old kitten. Annual booster is also practiced as it is beneficial to the majority of cats.

Health Check

During your visit to MediCat, history taking and physical examination will be conducted thoroughly with necessary diagnostic work-ups to check for any pre-existing or developing conditions.

The early detection of disease and ill-health means early intervention and hence deciding on the best and most appropriate treatment plan possible. Our teams are happy to answer and address any concerns relating to your furry friends!

Neutering

Neutering a male cat (castration) and female cat (spaying) prevents unwanted pregnancies and greatly reduce the risk of diseases and cancers. This procedure can be done as early as 5-month-old and considered as outpatient care. No hospitalization will be needed hence you can bring your cat home after the procedure, on the very same day!

We take neutering in cats very seriously in order to control overpopulation and provide them good quality of life. Generally, neutered cats live healthier, longer and happier lives.

Blood Test

Cat blood work is essential in the effort to determine general health of the livers, kidneys and other organs. These diagnostic tools are importance for vets to come out which definitive diagnosis and prognosis as well as providing good treatment plans.

Our team at MediCat often recommend blood screens as pre-surgical screening and this procedure is least invasive and effective, The result of blood profile will be done in about 30 minutes.

Surgery

We handled multiple surgery cases from abdominal procedures such as hernia repairs, ex-laparatomy, wound management up to life-saving procedures such as fracture bone repairs, emergency caesarean and bladder stone removals. Every surgeries will be performed by our certified veterinary surgeon.

Every surgical cases usually require few follow-up for post-op care. Recovery time can be variable depending on the specific type of procedure.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound examination can be conducted in cases such as pregnancy, uterine abnormalities, bladder stones and internal organs evaluation.

Diagnostic ultrasound is a safe and noninvasive procedure that uses low-power sound waves. A scan usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes depending on the type of examination.

Dental Scaling

Oral diseases should not be taken lightly as it usually causing pain and discomfort in cats. Any symptoms such as hypersalivation, inappetance or oversensitive around facial region need medical attention.

Dental scaling and extraction is one of our approach during oral exams. Thorough health assessment and blood check will be carried out before the procedure to minimize risk of anesthesia. We do advise the owner to get dental checkup annually at a minimum.

Boarding / Hotel

Holidays without your cats?
WORRY NOT, because we provide on-the-go cat hotel here in MediCat. We only accept vaccinated healthy cat with updated de-flea for boarding to minimize risk of illness and infection under our care. If your cat requires special care due to medical problems, our team will be monitoring in ward section.

Grooming

Flea and Fungal medicated bathing are available here which includes nail clipping, dry blow and ear cleaning. Lion cut with sedation can also be done under vet supervision. Cat grooming is not our core services, thus we only accept cats that need medical attention requires bathing.
